reports in modern formats .xlsx
We would like reports to generate in modern formats .xlsx by default, as we move forward with security enhancements. Our company policies block legacy file formats due to security reasons but the reports that generate from Ring Central are in old formats .xls

I am new in my position and need daily on call reports. I can only get emailed daily reports "going forward". Trying to compile past reports is VERY limited and the excel format is unfriendly for operational purposes. Strongly support a new process.

A macro can also be configured to run automatically when a file is opened.
The Office files malicious third-parties send as email attachments will almost always be in the old .doc, xls or .ppt format, because this way you have no way of knowing they contain a macro that is going to automatically activate when you open the file.
** This is why for security reasons we block legacy file types and we need Ring Central reports to be generated in a non-legacy format and the reasoning behind it.
