  1. I recently started as a security manager for my company and was in shock to find out that the emergency number that is posted at all our buildings and campuses rings on only one phone. This is very concerning. If someone calls an emergency line for an incident like a vehicle accident and a Security Operations Officer is on the line trying to provide assistance or dispatch responders and you have a separate incident in which someone is trying to call the emergency line due to someone having difficult breathing, the 2nd Security Operations Officer should be able to answer…

  3. When a task is created inside a Team or Group, it used to put the un-comppleted tasks on the right side. and they were in order, now they aren't...   4. We only utilize RingCentral Meetings and the new RingCentral App has Phone, Fax, Messaging etc. that is not necessary and clutters the app for our users. We would like the ability to just utilize the Meetings portion.

  5. It would be great to allow for Glip notifications to show up in the system tray so folkx can more easily see that someone is looking for them without having the full app open and maximized. We work in a health clinic that's somewhat loud, so it's really easy to miss the notifications. I know Skype for business would pop up and it was a really easy way for folks to tell someone was trying to reach them. Without being able to set the notification timelines on the email/text alerts, it's creating issues with our workflow. This would be huge…

  7. We have a whole-company chat where people post irrelevant, IT issues every day. I do not need to be notified when someone posts there, but if I turn off the badge notifications for that, it also gets turned off for all other individuals and groups, and I need to be able to see those.

  8. All of my users are in a mixed phone environment, they receive queue calls at anytime and direct dials. Users have no real way of quickly separating the two before they answer a physical phone.

  11. Allow user to select default/focus tab of content. Great that recent settings allow customization of tabs and order, however odd that the one placed at the top is not also the one that gets focus when opening (unfortunately always defaults to Text for which my organization doesn't use as much).

  13. The system should (or have the ability to choose the option) for the caller to hear ringing while connecting to an agent. For example, when they press the option for their queue, and it is ringing to an agent, the caller will hear ring tones instead of immediate hold music. A lot of callers think there are calls waiting in queue as soon as they hear music instead of ring tones and disconnect quickly. If all agents are busy (it won't be immediately connecting to an agent) then it will play the defined hold music/message until an agent becomes available.…

  15. sometimes I don't hear the message alert sound, for newly arrived messages, just because I am not at my desk all the time, I have to open the rincentral app, and look at the message section to realize there are unread messages sent by users, it has happened me several times that I realize this after several days messages have been sent. I would be really help full to set reminders, either pop-up message or task bar, that there are "unred" messages still pending to be addessed.

  17. Right now, when soemone calls our main line or one of our direct lines, we are required to upload a 'greeting' or 'intro' before the line starts to ring. This is great for our main line, however, we think that there should be an option to remove it when people call our direct lines. Instead, we would prefer if the direct lines would just ring as a normal phone would before connecting with the person on our team. The reason being that when someone calls a direct line expecting to immediately get the person that they are trying to reach…

  18. I created a custom fax template and applied the 'notes' section to be pulled in. However when I add text to the notes section when sending a fax, it looses the formatting (i.e. Enter to a new line). I called and spoke with support who confirmed it is not related to settings or anything else they can see. And to add more context, the text and formatting work fine in the notes section of any of the standard templates. I tested this with support as well. This is something we really need resolved for our Faxing needs.

As transferring calls can only be done by dialing the number on the second line of the desk phone or by "##+Extension #", this new idea was submitted to allow the presence feature of showing other extensions on the desk phone to be available as a transfer with just one-click process on the desk phone. Or similar feature to this.
