  1. Print to fax directly from the browser or other application using RC App print to fax plug-in

    When using the old RC Phone App (Spartan) by printing directly from multiple browsers, the attachment will just add up (normal)

    When using the New RC App Glip (Jupiter) by printing directly from multiple browsers, the attachment will replace the previous attachment (not normal)
    In ther words, only 1 attachment is allowed at a time.

    Customer requested that if possible to mirror the functionality of RC Phone app print to fax plug-in

  2. Multiple users can receive a fax via email with/ attachment, but it will violate HIPAA, and they want multiple users to receive the fax through the RC App.

  3. Allow sending fax using G.711u.

    At the moment, RingCentral only supports T.38 for faxing.

    There are customers that are still using G.711u for faxing. We need to make sure that it works regardless of the transmission method.

  4. Currently, there is no reliable way to disable fax traffic for a phone number. If a number is assigned to a user extension and set to "Voice Only," any inbound fax attempts are treated as voice calls and will ring all active devices and apps associated with that extension.

    Ideally, there should be an option to fully disable fax functionality on a number. This would result in a failed transmission status for the sender, clearly indicating that the number is not enabled for fax.   6. The Admin is requesting a feature that would allow admins to schedule monthly fax log reports for the previous month and have them automatically sent out. The requested functionality should include the ability to select specific users to be included in the report, rather than generating logs for all users. Additionally, the customer would like the option to filter these reports by Site or Department, which is not currently possible in the Admin Portal.   7. They’re requesting the option to update the contact phone number on the fax cover page so it shows their fax number instead. She mentioned that when she handled it, she used to upload a custom cover page, but now that someone else manages it, they rely on the default system cover page since the new user isn’t familiar with custom uploads. They also attempted to use a dummy phone number, but that could create future issues with account access.   9. In the previous version of your outbound fax print driver, the Send Later function would default to the date and time selected for the previous fax sent. You removed this default which we use every Friday for a group of faxes to be delivered Monday morning. Put it back in.

  12. For the fax transmission email result subject line, please add the timestamp of the fax. This would help make the transmission result unique to avoid the Google integration issue. Google integration is grouping all of my notifications into a single thread based on the subject line.

  13. Currently, when call forwarding is enabled for EX User extensions, the forwarding logic does not distinguish between voice and fax calls. When a call terminates directly to a User extension, the system can differentiate between fax and voice calls and handle them accordingly. However, when forwarding is enabled, both fax and voice calls are forwarded indiscriminately, causing fax calls to be treated as voice calls.

  19. I have an idea to be able to view each page as it comes in, instead of waiting for the entire fax to be received. This helps for our case in particular with needing the first 2 pages for referrals and we would be able to call on them quicker rather than waiting for 80 pages to come in.
