Thanks for the continued feedback on this one.
To clarify how RingCentral Video works today: if the meeting host hasn't joined, the first participant from your account to join is automatically given host/moderator controls — so a scheduled or recurring meeting can start and run even when the original host is out.
We also hear the specific request here: the ability to designate a named co-host or alternate host when scheduling, so a chosen colleague reliably holds those controls regardless of join order — and so dependent actions like automatic recording or breakout room management work as expected. That capability isn't available in RCV today.
This remains on our backlog. It isn't on the near-term roadmap yet, but the interest here is heard and we'll update this thread as our plans develop.

Would like to have the ability to assign co-hosts when scheduling video meetings, prior to the start of the meeting. There are many situations where someone other than the "main" host may need to start a meeting - e.g., if "main" host is sick/away/late, etc.
This is a significant limitation as it stands now, when comparing RCV to other videoconferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom).
