In Breakout rooms these are often set for a specific duration. It would be great to set a duration up in the assignment section for the rooms and then have it be a visible countdown for the participants so that the facilitator and participants can manage their time in the rooms more effectively. Also it would be very helpful to have the option for hosts to close the rooms with a 1 min countdown to allow people to wrap up - Much like competitive platforms the countdown should be obviously visible to all participants.

This is available today. In the desktop app you can separate the shared screen and the video gallery across two monitors using the pop-out control in the top toolbar. See [Using the new RingCentral Video meetings experience].

When we are hosting meetings, often we get a lot of feedback and questions in chat. Having the ability to pop out the chat windows and move it to a 2nd or third screen is highly effective for visibility. Right now the chat window is floating in the RCV Window, and although it can be unpinned it is not a separate window independent of RCV.

126 votesA meeting host can rename guests and PSTN dial-in participants, both in the waiting room and during the meeting, across the RingCentral app on desktop and mobile and on the browser. One thing to note: signed-in participants can't be renamed, since their display name comes from the company directory. See Editing participant names in a meeting.

Currently only the host can manage breakout rooms - When we have large meetings, board meetings, or public forums on RCV it is extremely helpful to be able to have multiple of our admin staff help organize and run our larger meetings - when only the host can manage breakout rooms this makes using RCV compared to other video platforms with breakout rooms more difficult for our staff

This remains something we're tracking as potential future work, but it isn't currently on our near-term roadmap. We'll update this thread if that changes.

Thanks for the continued feedback on this one.
To clarify how RingCentral Video works today: if the meeting host hasn't joined, the first participant from your account to join is automatically given host/moderator controls — so a scheduled or recurring meeting can start and run even when the original host is out.
We also hear the specific request here: the ability to designate a named co-host or alternate host when scheduling, so a chosen colleague reliably holds those controls regardless of join order — and so dependent actions like automatic recording or breakout room management work as expected. That capability isn't available in RCV today.
This remains on our backlog. It isn't on the near-term roadmap yet, but the interest here is heard and we'll update this thread as our plans develop.

Absolutely - It would also help with the suggestion that I just put in - as right now only the host can manage breakout rooms - Having a co-Host would likely take care of my issue as well.https://ideas.ringcentral.com/ideas/CUSTCOM-I-6735
