My wife was in the hospital and this feature would have been extremely helpful.

When going on vacation or on leave you're able to forward calls but not texts, which a high number of companies use texting as a form of communication. Because of that, you still have people contacting you with no one knowing that you're off. Having automatic forwarding or at lease an auto reply telling them who they should contact in your absence would help tremendously.
