It would be great if we had a call forward busy call handling option where the call could go directly to voicemail
so when someone is on a call, the person is not bothered by a second call ringing

This option is available today. In the user setting, under Phone, under Incoming Calls --- the option Call waiting can be turned off so the second call will go direct to Voicemail.
