Being kicked from Teams calls when receiving a RingCentral call
We are being disconnected from Teams calls and meetings when a RingCentral call comes in. When speaking with the technician, we are told this is because we have the call control feature turned on on our headsets and would need to turn this off in order to not be dropped from existing calls. We were told that this is a 'feature' (not being dropped from existing calls) that is not currently available when call control is enabled. Per my conversation with the tech:
- The “feature” that I need to make a request for is to NOT get booted from a Teams call when call control is turned on.
- 2 out of 10 cases submitted are in regards to this.
- No feature request has been submitted because it seems that those submitting case are just taking the work around of turning off call control.
We purchased our entire hardware fleet to use the call control feature. I do not feel that not being disconnected from a call is a 'feature' so much as a flaw in the existing config. As instructed, I am submitting the idea to NOT be dropped from existing calls with this enabled.
