Support for "Call Answered Elsewhere" notification/handling
Description:
We are requesting the addition of support for the "Call Answered Elsewhere" feature on the Poly Edge E100 and E550 IP phones. This feature is increasingly important in environments where users are assigned to multiple queues, or where simultaneous ring or shared line appearances are in use.
Current Behavior:
When a call is answered on another device, it displays a missed call on the Poly Edge E100/E550 phone. This can cause confusion for users, as the call was not actually missed, but handled on another endpoint.
Proposed Enhancement:
When a call is answered on another endpoint registered to the same SIP account or call group, the E100/E550 phone should:
Not log the call as missed on the desk phone
Optionally display a brief message such as "Call answered elsewhere"
Business Justification:
Prevents inaccurate missed call logs
Enhances the user experience
Reduces unnecessary user actions, such as checking for voicemails or returning calls that were already handled
