Cross-Site User Assignment for Queue Managers and Co-Recipients
Feature Request: Cross-Site User Assignment for Queue Managers and Co-Recipients
We have a setup with multiple Sites and would like to request the ability for Managers with Full Access to assign users across different Sites.
Currently, a Manager with Full Access is unable to assign users from other Sites when managing Queues or Co-Recipients. When changes are made, the system does not allow saving the required users. Additionally, when assigning Co-Recipients, the selection is limited to users within a single Site, preventing us from choosing recipients from multiple Sites.
To work around this limitation, both the client and RingCentral Support enabled Groups in the Manager role, which allowed Managers to perform the above cross-site assignments. However, this workaround introduces security risks, as it exposes sensitive information and data access to Managers who should not have visibility into areas outside their scope of responsibility. This creates compliance and confidentiality concerns for the organization.
This limitation causes operational challenges, since our Managers are responsible for overseeing teams that span multiple Sites. Without the ability to manage Queues and Co-Recipients across all Sites in a controlled way, administrators are forced to rely on insecure workarounds or additional escalations. This results in slower response times, reduced efficiency, and an increased risk of data exposure.
Proposed Enhancement:
Enable Managers with Full Access to assign users and Co-Recipients across multiple Sites natively, without requiring Groups to be added to their role.
Business Impact:
Eliminates the need for insecure role workarounds.
Ensures proper cross-site coverage of Queues and Co-Recipients.
Strengthens security and compliance by maintaining appropriate visibility and access levels.
Improves operational efficiency and customer experience by empowering Managers to handle assignments directly.
