SMS/Text Messaging Integration Support for Desk Phones
Currently, SMS messaging capabilities in RingCentral are limited to desktop, web, and mobile app endpoints. Enabling SMS functionality directly on hardware desk phones—such as the Yealink SIP-T54W—allows users who rely primarily on physical desk phones to send and receive member or customer texts without needing an open desktop or mobile application. Supporting native SMS on Yealink T-Series hardware improves workflow efficiency, reduces device switching, and delivers a unified communication experience across physical endpoints.
