multi-pane phone dashboard
I’d like to suggest a layout option for the RingCentral desktop app that would make it much easier to use throughout the workday.
It would be extremely helpful to have a customizable multi-pane Phone dashboard where users could view several functions at the same time instead of having to switch between tabs.
For example, I’d like to be able to have separate panes for:
- Keypad / Dialer
- Recent Calls / Call History
- Voicemail
- Text Messages
Ideally, these panes could all remain visible on the same screen and be resized or rearranged by the user. The goal is to be able to quickly scan incoming texts, missed/recent calls, and voicemails while still having the keypad available to make a call.
On a larger desktop monitor, there is plenty of screen space available, but the current tab-based layout requires constantly clicking back and forth between Keypad, Calls, Voicemail, and Text. A multi-pane or customizable dashboard would make RingCentral function much more like a true desktop communications console and would significantly improve efficiency for users who spend much of the day on the phone.
I’d love to see this added as an optional layout rather than replacing the existing interface.
