Increase Personal Contacts Limit Beyond 10,000
We are requesting an increase to the hard limit of 10,000 personal contacts per user extension. As our business grows, our client, vendor, and partner directory has expanded beyond this threshold. Because personal contacts cannot be organized into sub-groups or custom sets under "Shared External Contacts," individual users rely heavily on Personal Contacts to build custom groups for batch messaging and multi-recipient faxing. The current 10,000 cap creates a bottleneck for outbound communication and contact organization.
Business Impact / Pain Points:
Interrupted Outbound Operations: Once the 10,000 limit is reached, users cannot save new leads, client numbers, or fax recipients directly to their extension.
Limited Group Faxing: Shared Contacts do not support user-level sub-grouping. Users must maintain personal contacts to build custom fax lists; capping this list at 10,000 limits our ability to scale mass communications effectively.
Proposed Solution / Specific Requirements:
Higher Capacity Cap: Increase the maximum personal contact ceiling per extension from 10,000 to 25,000–50,000 contacts (or offer a tiered add-on option for high-volume users).
Bulk Upload Expansion: Ensure CSV import tools support batch uploads matching the expanded contact capacity in a single upload.
Alternative Option: Enable custom sub-grouping and tagging natively inside Shared External Contacts so teams do not have to rely on Personal Contacts to send targeted multi-recipient faxes.
