  1. As a company we rely on our Microsoft Teams status (NOT RC) to let our team know we are:away from our desk on lunch or breaksin a meetingon a phone callWe use RC for all calls with our customers and when a team member wants to transfer a call, it is not practical for them to check their Teams status first every time before transferring the RC call. It is also an ongoing issue of receiving RC calls while on internal Teams calls. We want our RC users to look at the RC HUD and choose who is available. To go…

  2. Update from RingCentral (edited original description):
We've received interest from customers who use HighLevel, an all-in-one marketing and CRM platform designed for agencies and small businesses, requesting a native integration with RingCentral via the App Connect framework. HighLevel brings together tools for lead generation, SMS and email marketing, sales pipeline management, and client communication. A RingCentral integration could enable automations such as logging calls into HighLevel contact records, triggering campaigns based on call outcomes, or sending automated follow-ups after missed calls—all within the existing workflows HighLevel users rely on.

If you're a HighLevel customer and see value in this integration,…

  4. Add the ability to import Google contacts or Outlook contacts, just like in the RingCentral Phone app. I see an option to add calendars from those services, but not contacts.I have all my Google contacts in the Phone app, but when I look at texts in the RingCentral app, all I see is the phone number. This results in me using two separate apps, receiving two streams of notifications, and having to clear out two sets of unread message/call flags in order to easily make calls, send texts, and communicate with my team.

  5. Customer is asking for a similar feature in RC for Zendesk, that's currently available in RC for Salesforce. Being able to dial via browser and not having the RC App pop up to make the call. See Screen Shot from RC for Salesforce. You have 4 options available from within the calling option of the addon, whereas in Zendesk you only have 3. If customer is mainly in Zendesk app, they still need to toggle between RC App and Zendesk for it to work, this can get a little confusing for them if they are using a single screen. Its…

  6. As a company we rely on our Microsoft Teams status (NOT RC) to let staff know our availability and more importantly to route external calls to relevant call queues\voicemails, etc. when unavailable or on a call. We use RC Teams embedded dialer app to make\receive external calls. DND is the only Teams status that sync's across to RC and drops that status into DND which will achieve the desired result of forwarding calls on for answer via call queues etc. I would like to see the following Teams statuses achieve the same thing. Specifically Appear offline, In a meeting, On…

  7. The new RingCentral for Hubspot Chrome Extension does help in logging some but not all calls. If you are out of office, not logged in (aka after business hours) and/or hubspot is not open at all times... then calls do not log. This creates the issue of all calls received outside business hours or to users who are out of the office... are not logging in our Hubspot CRM. This causes gaps in the visibility of our customer interactions and communications. Also, missed calls into a shared phone number/call queue do not log into Hubspot or if they do it…

I know we previously communicated that we would not implement this. However, a GoHighLevel integration is now available through App Connect and is being offered by a trusted third-party. Learn more:

And feel free to reach out to me with questions.

  9. The only way for calls to log into Hubspot is if the RingCentral for Hubspot Chrome Extension is installed. This helps with most calls (not all) logging in Hubspot but the biggest frustration is that the extension ringer, both the ringtone sound itself and the volume of the ringtone is very loud and sounds like an old-school landline telephone. The sound is incredibly distracting and painful. There are no settings to turn this off, change the ringtone or adjust the volume. This can effect how sales/customer service teams perform and if we remove the extension then our calls won't log…

  11. As of this time, the only option to transfer a call through RingCentral for Salesforce is with a blind transfer or a cold transfer (as stated on page of 8 of this guide https://netstorage.ringcentral.com/guides/RingCentral_for_Salesforce_RCV_and_WebRTC_guide.pdf). If we try to work around this by opening a second line to merge the calls, the first call will drop entirely. Warm transfer are incredibly important when delivering a positive customer experience, having the option to do so from the Salesforce integration would be highly valued.

  12. Implement Call recordings in HubSpot for playback

    12 votes
How important is this to you?

Call Recordings for RingCentral are available for playback within the HubSpot ecosystem for each call recording and object that is created with a recording. The recording is always stored on the RingCentral side and is not available to be stored within the HubSpot environment due to storage limits

  13. The request is for the ability to change ringtone settings: off/on, change ringtone, adjust volume. The current ringtone is very loud and sounds like old-school landline.

Updated: RingCentral for Clio is live! Visit https://www.clio.com/app-directory/ringcentral-for-clio/ for the extension. Please note, there is a preliminary issue where the extension doesn't match phone numbers with contacts due to a phone number format issue. The extension only recognizes contact phone numbers with international standard format-- +(country code)XXXXXXXXXX versus (XXX)XXX-XXX or XXX-XXX-XXXX, etc. Our developers are working with Clio for a resolution. Hello, our development team is working on a unified CRM extension and is asking for additional and specific use case scenarios. If you would like to be connected to the software engineer working on this and help collaborate, please email ideas@ringcentral.com with your contact and use case information. Thank you!
  15. You can only blind transfer with the HubSpot Plug In. We need to be able to talk to who we are transferring to first. Please add this feature. It is already a RingCentral Feature just need the option added to the HubSpot Plug In.

So this is a little tricky to answer. The idea is specifically for our Hubspot Chrome extension, which we are in the long process of retiring. But it has been replaced by a much more modern and all together better integration: our new Hubspot native integration. This new integration does support call transfers.

  17. We have been paying another company ZipWhip to handle texts for us because RingCentral doesn't do Auto Replies (vacation, message received will reply soon etc). We also use scheduled reminder texts and Ring doesn't do that either. Lastly, templates. I don't see a place to save templates to reply with. It sure would be nice if we didn't have to pay two companies instead of one to handle texting and voice calls since we only get a couple of calls a day, but probably 30 text messages. ZipWhip is going out of business at the end of 2022 and you…

Since this idea was posted, I believe we have implemented much of what is being asked for:

    • Workflow Builder can help with SMS auto-replies
    • Workflow Builder will soon support scheduled workflows
    • SMS templates have been shipped and are now available
  18. If you attempt to de-queue a call off of a call queue, and the person doing so is not a pickup member of the queue, then the platform will return a 403 error (which is by design). However, this is an error state easily avoided if developers has a way to determine whether someone is a pickup member of a queue. Therefore, we need an API we could query for this information.

  19. For web telephony integrations including Hubspot, users do not have a way to view the multimedia attachment sent via MMS and as a workaround will have to open the message view the RingCentral app.

It would be great if MMS support has been added soon for users to stick to one app (Hubspot) at a time especially for companies that rely on the MMS feature to send media.

  20. Currently, we do have two options for placing a call using RingCentral for HubSpot
    1. Click to dial
    2. From the CTI dialer

It would be great if we have an option to have the Call button from Hubspot working after installing the RC for HubSpot dialer
