Updated 9/8/23: This has been moved to Q1 2024Hi everyone, this is planned as a two parter: coming in December 2022, users will be able to select which number their outbound texts are sent through in settings. Coming later in 2023, users will be able to select their outbound number in the separate messaging window (not just in settings). This only addresses outbound caller ID. If you would like to see a more shared inbox group texting option, please vote for these ideas: Add a text message queue similar to the call queueTexts should go to multiple usersChas supported this idea ·

Hello everyone, this has been implemented in 22.3.1. This version of the app was rolled out to all accounts over 8/25-8/31. No additional action is required to initiate the feature on the app, please confirm you are on at least 22.3.1.
This feature allows for caller ID to transfer in these scenarios.
Warm/Consultative Transfer:
- Incoming call from PSTN/RC # to RingCentral and transferred to RC number
Blind Transfer:
- Incoming call from PSTN/RC # to RingCentral and transferred to RC number
- Incoming call from PSTN/RC # to RingCentral and transferred to RC voicemail
The feature requires the following endpoints to work successfully. This applies to both the user invoking the transfer as well as the user who is the destination of the transfer.
Desk phones: Any Poly, Avaya or Unify models.
RingCentral App: Version 21.4.30 or later
RingCentral Mobile App: Version 22.1.10 or later
RingCentral Phone App: Version…

This is critically needed. It's a significant detriment to have to waste extensions and keep track of call flow on multiple call queues just to have certain groups ring at the same time. Just about every other phone system has this capability, including ancient on-prem systems. RingCentral, please catch up!

Particularly relevant in states like ours (Texas) where we are a one-party-consent state where only one party needs to consent to recording (or in this case, transcribing) phone calls. Because our state laws permit that, we should have the option to turn off the announcement.
