Administrators need to restrict the choice of Caller IDs (CLIs numbers) in user extensions
Admin portal - request for administrators to be able to restrict the choice of Caller IDs (CLIs) in user extensions
Scenario:
If a user is permitted to select their own CLis (outbound caller ID setting enabled in their role), they can chose from a list of number in their App when they make outbound calls. This list consists of
-their user DL number
-their site number (if any)
- the direct number of any call queues they are a member of
- the main company number
-any unassigned company number in the system
This can lead to a very long list of CLIs to chose from
.
The customer request we make it possible for administrators to pick which of the available CLIS users should be able chose.

I just encountered this problem and arrived here looking for an answer. It's absolutely ridiculous if an admin CAN'T restrict the outbound caller ID numbers a user can pick from. I have numbers in my inventory that aren't assigned to anything yet, and Ring Central thinks it's fine for a user to choose one of those? Or, a user in a site in one state can choose the local number for another site in a different state? That makes NO sense.
