GIFs in text message
GIFs tend to be a major form of communication these days. GIFs are possible in team messaging, but not in SMS texting as far as i can see.

I love this idea. Some times an emoji just doesn't cut it. A GIF is required.

My company has been exploring other options of reaching our customers in a fun and lively manner, so we are creating company themed GIFs to send with our text inquiries, but the RingCentral desktop app does not include GIF capability. This would be a great addition to be able to do to reach different age groups for customers.

Thanks for this update. I think you're specifically referring to texting - can you confirm? If that's the case, we'll need to update this idea to reflect the request.

Using GIPHY or another GIF curator site, add a button next to the emoticon button in the text message app that opens up a window so you can search for gifs and send them in a text. Typing it out right now sounds stupid, but for instance Pipedrive always signs off their support chats with a fun GIF saying things like "your rock", "your welcome", "have the best day ever" - stuff like that, and it definitely lands well and makes an impression. I know we could do a workaround of downloading the file and then upload the file into the text, but having a direct integration would be awesome.

The status was changed to "implemented". Please make sure you're on the most recent version of the app. If you're still not seeing an update, provide us with some screenshots and additional details at Community.Support@RingCentral.com

This is such a good idea!! My team and I were just talking about how this would step up our messaging game x10 and its a huge shame RingCentral doesn't support GIFs
