Multiple devices management
Request: We need to be able to set separate default devices for the "phone" and the "video" functionalities of the MVP suite.------------------These users start a huddle type meeting at the start of the day and need to take other calls throughout the day. That being said, they must not leave the huddle at any point, and must not cut it's audio. The group needs to be able to listen when a specific user of the group takes a call and what happens in that call. Before, they would use Microsoft Teams for the "huddle" part and Ring Central to take calls, with a different device setup for each app which would allow them to take calls with a headset and use their computer speakers for the huddle. We have since removed every Teams licenses we had, hence the problem we have now.To the best of my knowledge, Ring Central does not allow the use of two different audio devices simultaneously. We therefore proposed that they use their cellphones paired with the Ring Central app and a headset to take the calls and start using the Ring Central huddle on their desktops. This works in theory but leads to my first question : is there a better/more simple way to do this? If not, I will need to submit the idea of using two devices at the same time to the community. Now, this solution still creates an issue for us. The Ring Central huddle picks up a lot of feedback from the computer when it is used with the computer speakers, something that wouldn't happen with Teams (probably because Teams directly accesses the audio card to manage the feedback). We are considering buying some Poly Sync 20 speakers to hopefully solve this issue. Can you confirm to me in any way that buying a Ring Central certified speaker and microphone device like the Poly Sync 20 will stop the feedback issue? We basically just need the device to mute the microphone when it's emitting sound, something the laptop speakers won't do.
