Program Ring Central Feature Codes Into One Touch Button - Paging - Direct to VM
Adding Value to Ring Cental Productivity and Security:My job is Sales Manager for Walser Technology, I just installed two Ring Central phone systems, both used to have Mitel. I guess Ring Central decided to use keystrokes to enable a feature for (Transfer straight to VM), (Engage Paging), I am sure there are others. My request is to create the least amount of keystrokes for the customer, especially if they do the same function many times a day, or if the feature could actually save lives such as the paging feature. First I would like to mention the paging, one the systems we just installed was a Private Catholic School, their main concern is safety, on the Mitel system they could press one button (programmed extension) to engage the paging system, overhead and phones. Ring Central setup is you have to press * 84 + a programmed extension for paging. That is a total of 4 or 7 keystrokes depending on if the extension was one touch key. Too many keystrokes if you have an active shooter in your school, too much to remember if you are in shock. So why can you not allow a partner like us to program a one button (such as we do an extension) to turn on the feature then we can just program one other button for the extension or group of extensions. The school has trained all of their staff in the old process that Mitel had on one button. This makes sense to all Schools and could be a lock out feature against other VOIP systems. If you engineer this into the software all partners can program and customize the redundant keystrokes into only 2, making it easy for the customer to access features already there.
