Improve Message Functionality
I couldn't find any ideas related to improving the Message section. While I understand it may not be a priority for RingCentral, why not consider creating a RingCentral app to compete with messaging platforms like Telegram or Slack, specifically designed for business purposes?In my company, we have both office users (30 of them with MVP licenses) and field users (70 contractors with Video Pro accounts) who mainly use messaging for communication. I've created Channels (teams) for general news and information, similar to Telegram. However, the challenge is that I want to minimize communication between field users.Currently, if I add all Video Pro users to one team (channel), two main issues arise:1) They can see each other's personal information.2) They can easily communicate with each other.To address this, one option is to remove Video Pro users from the company directory, limiting their access so they can only see names but not contact details. While this is a good approach, it also restricts MVP users from communicating effectively with Video Pro users. I've tested multiple times, and even regular users (not admins) lack the ability to message or call Video Pro users, except for video calls.This limitation poses a problem. Why not provide customers with basic messenger functionality? Rather than using multiple apps for different needs, it would be more efficient to have just one app to fulfill all our business requirements. Furthermore, now that basic TEXTING FUNCTION is no longer free and team communication comes at a cost, it becomes even more crucial to have a comprehensive solution for team communication, separate from sales communication or advertising.
