Request to support the intercom feature on Yealink DECT phones, specifically for the W79P part number (W59R handset + W70B base).

DECT supports two types of Intercom, the first is the RC Intercom supported by the RC Server and the second is the internal Intercom supported by the DECT Base itself.

For the first type of RC Intercom, there is no difference between the logic of DECT and desktop phones, it is done through the RC server and can Intercom any Extension.
Regarding the second type of internal Intercom, it is implemented by our DECT Base, not through the server, and only supports Intercom handsets registered to the same base station.

The current problem with DECT's in RC is that it doesn't support receiving RC Paging/Intercom, but it can call out RC Paging/Intercom. and we've tested receiving RC Paging in our lab environment (RC QA helped to enabled it), so we think that having the server simply open up DECT to receive RC paging/intercom should not be a significant workload.
Ultimately, the decision rests with the RC product team.
