Search / filter team instant messages by date

At the moment you can search a team instant message thread by words, poster or team but there is no way for you to search and filter by a date or date 'range'
Reason
Many times a members of a chat has mentioned in passing occurrences of an issue that much later I need to pull together to a report. I know the dates or date ranges but it is too hard to guess the exact wording of their post and searching by user/poster returns too many results (most not relevant).
I need a way to select all posts in a specific team by a specific user or users within a date range.

I too could really use the filter option for my messages because I often have to go back to specific time frames & collect reports for a host of reasons. & I do not see this filter option. I am on Android Version 25.1.11.10002.

After a keyword search, you can refine the results further using filters on the right side of the results window. Filters include options to narrow by user or team and to specify a time range, such as this week, this month, or this year. (Not yet specific date range)
