Allow SMS in AI Receptionist to Be Sent from Extensions Other Than the Super Admin
Summary:
In the current implementation of the AI Receptionist (AIR), the SMS messaging feature is restricted to using only the super admin extension as the sending number. This limits flexibility and usability for organizations that require communication to be routed through other user extensions or departments.
Current Behavior:
When accessing the “Send Text Message” feature within the AI Receptionist, only the super admin extension is available as the sending number.
There is no option to select or assign another user extension or number.
Requested Enhancement:
Provide the ability to select from a list of eligible user extensions or direct numbers within the account when sending SMS via AI Receptionist.
Allow admins to configure which extensions are authorized to send messages in the AI Receptionist settings.
Include proper permission controls to manage who can send SMS messages through AIR.
