Enable Tagging, Commenting, and Status Tracking for Faxes in Desktop App
Our users require enhanced workflow management tools for processing faxes directly within the RingCentral Desktop Application.
The core need is the ability to:
Tag/Highlight Faxes: Apply custom tags (e.g., "Invoice," "Patient Intake," "Urgent HR") to instantly categorize the fax type.
Leave Comments/Notes: Add internal, persistent notes to a specific fax (e.g., "Requires manager approval," "Follow-up needed by EOD," or specific processing instructions).
Track Status: Implement a simple status indicator (e.g., "New," "In Progress," "Completed") to clearly define where a fax is in the processing pipeline.
Why this is important:
Faxes often require different processing steps, and without a way to add context or status, users must rely on external tracking or memory, which leads to errors and inefficiencies. This feature would:
Improve Clarity: Instantly indicate the type and required processing for each fax.
Enhance Workflow: Allow teams to efficiently manage and prioritize the queue of faxes.
