Ability to create a universal voicemail
I have multiple employees who are getting upset because they are trying to set their voicemail message and it is difficult for them to manage the THREE SEPARATE VOICEMAIL RECORDINGS that would need to be set to cover them depending on how their phone is set. There are THREE DISTINCTLY SEPARATE Voicemail Greetings:
- Normal Voicemail Greeting: Used if call is missed during normal operation, i.e., if phone rings and no one picks up in time - this is the one set if the person uses the call-in recording method to set their Voicemail Greeting.
- Do Not Disturb Voicemail Greeting: Used if the person sets their phone to Do Not Disturb Mode. Must be recorded via the RingCentral Web Site. It is NOT possible to simply use the Normal Voicemail Greeting for this purpose - only way is to go onto RingCentral site, download the Normal RingCentral Greeting then Upload it to the DND Voicemail Greeting as Custom (way too complex and convoluted method for normal user and frustrating to have to set a second voicemail greeting if using DND Mode).
- Forward All Calls To Voicemail Greeting: This is used if you set the extension to "Forward All Calls" and then choose "Send to Voicemail". Again DOES NOT USE NORMAL VOICEMAIL GREETING. This Is extremely confusing. It is, ONCE AGAIN, a completely separate greeting from either of the other two and not able to be set by calling in using their desk phone’s voicemail menus.
