Active Number and SMS Capability Verification
We hope RingCentral can provide an API or a built-in feature to identify if a phone number provided by a client is currently active and provisioned for SMS before a message is sent. Additionally, it would be highly beneficial to have the ability to check a recipient's opt-out status via API. Having this validation capability would help us verify SMS eligibility before attempting to send a message, reduce failed delivery attempts, and maintain better deliverability rates by filtering out inactive numbers upfront.
