Show the contact's Company and Notes on the incoming call screen
When a call arrives from a number that matches a personal or company contact, the RingCentral app (mobile and desktop) shows only the contact's name and number. The Company field and Notes are on the contact record but never appear on the ring screen, where they would be most useful. Please show at least the Company field there, and ideally a scrollable box of Notes.
Who we are
The makers of JukeForce, event rental software that integrates with RingCentral through the Address Book API. We sync our customers into RingCentral contacts so whoever answers knows who is calling.
The problem
Our customers call about a specific booking. We already store the date and venue of each customer's latest event on their contact, for example in the Company field as 10-04-2026 - Elks Lodge, Ireland, DE (Booked). Because the ring screen only shows the name, the person answering still has to ask "which event is this about?" or look it up while the caller waits. The information is one field away and never displayed.
Today our only workaround is to stuff the event details into the contact's last name so the ring screen shows it. That makes contact names unreadable everywhere else in RingCentral: search results, call logs, the contacts list, voicemail. It is the wrong field for the data, and it forces every integration like ours into the same hack.
What we are asking for
On the incoming-call screen (mobile app, desktop app, and the desk phone display where the firmware allows), show the matched contact's Company under the name and number.
Optionally show the contact's Notes as well, since integrations often put the most relevant context there.
Apply this wherever the app matches a contact for caller ID: personal contacts, the company directory, and shared external contacts.
Why it matters
It turns a contact match into an answer, not a lookup. For service businesses, the account or booking context is the reason they store the contact in the first place.
It is data RingCentral already holds and already matches; nothing new needs to be captured.
Many CRM-style integrations write context into Company or Notes through the API. Displaying those fields on the ring screen makes every one of those integrations more useful without any change on their side.
Acceptance
A call from a number matching a contact whose Company field is ACME, INC shows that text beneath the caller's name on the incoming-call screen. Additionally, display a scrollable textbox that will display the notes on a customer contact.
Contacts without a Company field show exactly what they do today.
The same field appears on the active-call screen and in the call log entry.
Thank you for considering it. We are happy to test a beta in a production account and provide feedback.
