Product has completed their research into this possibility and have confirmed that at this time, the feature is not on any upcoming roadmaps. Agreed, this is an essential feature that I'm surprised isn't there already. MS Teams has it and it's so useful to know if someone has read your message or not.

This is absolutely essential so that you are not wasting time asking people of they have yet read your message. Please do this feature.

All major chat platforms (Teams, Slack, Rocketchat, etc) have read receipts, a visual indicator to tell you if the receipient of your message has viewed it. Have moved from those platforms, we're really missing this feature.

Not sure if this is still called Glip. Messages in RingCentral App. Really need to have read receipts.

(previously mentioned, row 79, Michael Landry) Ability to replicate feature within MS Teams and WebEx Teams. Sender of message is given a visual to see if their message has been "seen" by the recipients.
