When a task it created, there should be an option to sent notification through email or to have at least a pop-up notification from RC Mobile and Desktop App on the set due date of the task.

The task functionality is a fantastic feature however, the functionality is lacking some key features, most notably the ability to be reminded of an upcoming task that is due. There should be an option to schedule/set alerts/alarms for tasks that are upcoming

Having a tab on the left panel where any task that is assigned to you can be tracked from that tab. Currently a task can be created and assigned to you under any chat room but it doesn't notify you and you have to bounce back and forth to view them. Consolidating and notifying of the creation of the task would be ideal.

It would be nice to have a notification bubble in the workspace button like in Message/phone/text so I can know how many tasks are due with out going into it.

I love the Task feature but I have to check it every day to make sure I'm not forgetting anything 'out of the ordinary' to do or check up on ongoing projects. It gives me the ability to schedule a task and when it should be done but nothing reminds me or pops up on my screen. It would be nice if something popped up to alert me that it needs to be done (isn't this why there is a date and time feature to plug into the task?).

In Glip, we were able to see all tasks in a line item formation and could choose whether we wanted to see current tasks, completed tasks or all tasks. The new RC does not seem to have that capability and we can only see one task at a time and there is no way to change that setting or see all the tasks at a glance. It's time consuming to have to scroll through to get to the ONE you're looking for and not to mention that we can't get desktop notifications anymore.

I agree with Mark. RC is not the same and doesn't work as well as Glip did with the notifications and display of tasks.

The Dashboard needs to be put back, which would dispay Current/Overdue tasks , Calendar events etc, just like Glip did so awesomely well. It would be interesting to know what motivated RC to remove it?a Task manager that does not have any function to remind about upcoming or overdue tasks is completely non-productive, the irony being a Task manager is supposed to help productivity.

Send email reminders when task due date passes. For tasks with a deadline, send assignees an email if they fail to complete the task by the deadline.

hi! We are a busy vet practice and use ring central religiously. We love the task function but need reminders that can send our computer and phone Reminders to complete or work on the task.

I can set RC to notify me by sound and flashing icon if the app is minimized (taskbar) or out of focus. But when I open RC, I don't have an indication for messages that tells me why the RC icon on the task bar was flashing.Also, if the app is "closed" that is in the systray, I get no notification that I have missed messages if I didn't get the initial sound.

Yes please!! What's the point of a task management feature with specific times if it won't notify you when those times are upon you? Please add

Be able to get a notification when a task it about to expire or upcoming event about to start. We can already set the time for the task or event, just need to get notify for it. Set the time for when we want to get the notification.
