Add the team folder feature back
Add the folder feature back for easy organizing amongst teams

Teams does not have the function of folder classification like jupiter, there are too many groups, it is difficult to find with mThor. It would be even better if you could choose the folder you want in filter. This saves users time searching for Teams and greatly improves the user experience!

During the recent upgrade, all of our Team Folders were deleted leaving those filtered teams now unfiltered and in the general list. Apparently, the only way to get the teams reassigned to the folders is to recreate each folder and then search by keyword (by memory) to then reassign to the folder...a next to impossible task when you can only see the 60 most recent teams. If the reinstating of the previously existing folders is not possible, could there at least be a way to see all teams and just choose which should be added to a re-created team rather than having to recall a relevant keyword

Despite Becky's comment that team folders are now available in the unified app, they are not working properly for me. I can create new folders (which might be personal folders only and not org-wide?) but many of the teams I'm a part of are not displaying in the new app! When will our existing org-wide folder structure be carried over to the new app, and can someone confirm if the folder feature in the new app is on an individual level or on an org-wide level?

We have so many team chats that we heavily utilize the public folders and with out them in the new version it makes it an absolute nightmare with all of out teams. In the classic version we are able to use the public folders to oragnize them.

Would like to create a shared teams folder in the new unified app. The same feature that the RC Classic app had.

Just to echo Rick's comments: unfortuantely the new version will be completely unusable without the public folders - we would absolutely love to see an option to revert to the classic team/folder organsiaiton which works perectly for us.

You implemented personal folders. That might be helpful for someone, which is nice. But we need the way it is in Classic: folders that apply across the org. Maybe you have some sort of disagreement in management about whether this is a valid issue to implement? It's about the MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE keeping users from leaving Classic over here. Sorry to shout, but I wanted to make sure you know we need org-level folders.

This isn't "implemented" from our org's perspective. Personal folders aren't helpful. We organize hundreds of project specific teams into folders. When you deprecate Classic, we might have to find another provider if you can't get this sorted first.

This is NOT implemented! There are only 30 available and they only apply to your account, it doesn't apply it across the organization. Bring the universal folders back!!!!!!

Yes! Definitely thank you for making progress. I am torn as to which I like better (i.e. personal folders or universal folders). I have two other challenges that have arisen from the new personal folders. First, when a new message is posted in a team in a folder, the team should automatically rise to the top of the list of teams. The team order is currently unchanged and I have to scroll to find the group with the message.Second, there is a limit of 50 teams in a folder. We use the folder to push all client teams into a single folder. But we have well over 50 and so we have to split them into separate folders. I would like to see this limit raised to at least 250 or 500.

Thanks for making progress on this. Initial feedback from the org is:Legacy folders haven't been processed/recognized yet. We're mixed classic & new RC users so we need team folders to be consistent across the orgTo that end: it looks like these new folders are only for the user? The classic schema everyone knows and loves produces folders that are consistent for every user in the org so that convos can be reliably organized into Marketing, Team A Projects, etc. It's not useful if it's just seen by me.Hopefully you're still ironing out these last bits. Thanks for getting it this far along; it's very encouraging! -Rick

Team, this feature is now available! Please give it a try and let us know how it's going!

We have been using GLIP for many years and with this new "upgrade", we lost our ability to organize our teams. We have well over 100 teams and this makes it impossible to manage.

Like you have in the classic app, the ability to create folders and place teams under them for better management. It would be helpful if you move this feature to the new one app.
