Answer phone call with a keyboard shortcut hotkey on the Ring Central App for desktops
Answer phone calls with a keyboard shortcut (hotkey) when using the Ring Central App for desktops. Scrambling with the mouse to click on the answer button when receiving a phone call seems. The RC phone app has this feature, why wasn't it added to the ring central app?

As a seperate secondary comment to this, I would also like to say that I am activily working with three screens, When my phone rings the "Alt A" shortcut will not work Unless I click on the ringcentral window first or it was already the main window at my attention when the call came in. I feel as though even if I could set F3 to answer the call, it still wouldn't fix the main issue that the key's don't work unless I have the window up front and at attention. Honestly it just dosesn't feel as fast and response as a real phone.

Hello,This RingCentral artical describes being able to change the hotkey.HotkeysHere is what the article says. How to view and customize the keyboard shortcuts (Hotkeys)1. Launch the RingCentral Phone for Desktop app on your Windows or Mac computer. 2. Click the gear icon, then click on Hotkeys. The list of commands are displayed on the right.3. To change or customize the keyboard shortcut (hotkey), click on the X mark, then press your preferred function key. NOTE: You may assign any of the function keys from F1 to F12, except for F7. Pressing F7 maximizes the Desktop app window. When I click the Gear icon in step 2, there is no Hotkeys, just Keyboard shortcuts. So I click Keyboard Shortcuts and there is no option to change or customize the keyboard shortcuts.I have attached a photo below.

I've just learned that the article regarding phone call Hotkeys is only for the RC Mobile App, not the Unified Desktop App. Hotkeys for the phone features would very helpful, as it can cumbersome when switching between windows during a call. Specifically, opening the dial pad, placing the call, ending the call, muting the call, placing on hold, transfering, etc... To that same end, it would be super convenient if the Dial Pad window could be docked into a corner of the screen, or at least default to staying on top, unless minimized. Managing the call while on a support session which requires other windows or remote sessions up at the same time quickly becomes clumsy and cumbersome.

New here and after multiple RC researches, this POPULAR question still has not been specifically answered yet. WHY not ?Turning ON Auto-answer in the RC settings is NOT always the best solution.Thank you.

We do not have the budget to purchase Jabra or Plantronics phones that RC supports headset controls. If there were a shortcut key that could be used on the windows keyboard that would allow the user to answer the pop-up RC App call that would be helpful.

I use to be able to highlight a phone number from a webpage, then hit a keyboard shoutcut to have it pasted into the Phone app to make a phone call. Without the shortcuts, I'll have to copy and paste all day long resulting in way too many unnecessary keystrokes.
