Have exactly the same issue. After our Company Greeting (and ... press this and that ... ) as final default needs to pop into VM immediately. Currently takes 8 seconds of silence, which is highly confusing and way too long.
Our company message ends like this ...embarrassing.
".....press 9 for a company directory. To leave a message please stay on the line for 7 seconds to reach the voicemail prompt. " -

After our Company Greeting, there is a 9 second delay until our line receives an incoming call and starts to ring. It is easy to believe the call is not going through because of this delay, and could create confusion for the person trying to reach our office staff or agents. We would like this delay to be much shorter to avoid any confusion and to answer incoming phone calls quicker.
