Message Notification
When the message screen is the main active window on my computer, I don't get an audible message notification. When another window is active window I get notifications. It would be useful to always get a notification in case I'm away from the computer that way I'll know someone is trying to reach me.

This new version needs some major updates. When the app is up on my screen I am not getting any sound notifications unless I use a pop out window. Normally I keep my ring app behind all of the stuff I am working on, now I have to keep 2 windows up. The main window which has to be set on HUD and the pop out message window has to be always up and if I get a phone call then a 3rd window pops up. Too many screens are taking up my workspace.
Also when I have the pop out convo. window up the notifications are just piling up in my HUD even though I am reading it in my pop out. It will say I have 10 unread messages meanwhile I have already read them in my pop out window. In order to remove this I have to go into the HUD and click on the chat I was in then click off of it. This is very inconvenient because then I am missing messages outside of the pop out chat I was in.
Another issue is when I get a phone call and my group is messaging each-other in the app I get the loud notification dings in my ear which makes it very hard to hear the phone call. I cant make the noise lower because if I do it will lower the sound of my notifications coming in through text. On the old app the dings would be ever so low that I could hardly hear it.
I am not finding this new app user friendly in a work space where you use messaging as your main source of communication.

It would be helpful if it had the same features and alert options as the previous version of Ring. Those worked very well for our team and made it much easier to stay on top of incoming messages throughout the day.

I am not finding this new version helpful at all. I do not get notifications unless I have at least two windows open on my screen, thus reducing my work space. If I minimize my ring windows, there are time I do not get the notifications. Our company uses the messaging all day to converse with each other, I cannot afford to miss a message. The older version was much better, more efficient and user friendly. Should I have to make a phone call, now I have three windows open, one being the keypad. I spend more time concentrating on whether windows are open, notifications are acknowledged or messages missed than I do working.

Our company uses the message feature to communicate as a group and individually all day. We cannot have 20 pop out windows for each conversation open on our screens just to get the audio notification sound. We also do not keep the Ring app up solely on our screen to visually see when messages come in as we have other windows open so we can work. So, we need the audio notification

We also agree! 160 users here, and ALL of us have the "All audio sources" turned on for the Audio Output setting "Ringtones and notification sources"...
It appears in-fact that it doesn't actually use "All audio sources" for notifications.
Our previous UC platform (Fuze) would use the multiple output devices for ALL notifications - because that is what the function should be used for.
We too would also like the flashing in the taskbar until the message(s) is/are read.

Totally Agree. In fact, I want extreme notification mode. I would like to see the application tab in the taskbar to flash until I view the unread messages and the audio notification to go non-stop until the message is read. I am constantly missing messages (or not answering them in a reasonable time frame) because I don't realize I have messages.
