Call forwarding - Differentiate external/internal calls for forwarding
Currently you only have the option to forward to voicemail, play an announcement, forward to extension or forward to external number for missed calls. This applies to all calls regardless if it's internal or external. It would be great if the system could differentiate between internal & external calls and perform an action against each.E.g. internal calls are played an announcement/engaged tone. External calls are forwarded to a hunt group

Looks like this has been in the queue for quite some time so it is a bummer that RC doesn't think it is important enough to resolve. Here is a different take on why we would like to differentiate between external and internal calling. VENDORS! We get too many vendors calling selling their services. We would like to send all external calls to voicemail where they can be screened and called back if important. All internal calls should work as normal and follow a normal call pattern. But to be able to say, ALL calls coming in from the outside (public) can go to voicemail would be great!

We need this badly enough we may have to search for another provider if we can’t get it here. We need AI assistance when we can’t answer a call group after 4 rings along with answering a call instead of it going to voicemail.

lot's of legacy PBX's and/or other UCaaS cloudpbx platforms have this option where the user can choose a different forwarding setting for internal and external numbers. this is call flow and businessproces wise criticai for a lot of organisations
