If PDF file can be attached on SMS that would be very helpful since we are sending our line sheet to buyers every month.

Desperately needed!!! Other text services provide this and handle it by automatically converting to a link to the PDF sent in the text.

The text functionality via the RingCentral Desktop and Mobile apps are limited to text, emojis and images but PDFs are an essential part of our business workflow, as I'm sure they are for a lot of different businesses across a variety of industries. Please add the functionality to send and receive PDF files through text.

I would like to vote in favor of this but I click vote and it kicks me out. I don't know if that's because it under review. As a business platform attaching PDF files is essential!

Has this been resolved yet? This was submitted in 2020 and it is almost 2022.

We send ALL documents to patients as PDFS. Cannot function without this. Additionally we often send and receive image files to help with patient assessment. As email is becoming obsolete...ALL functions need to be integrated into text messaging. When can we expect this essential feature?

Most attachments are pdf besides pictures

I jus had an insured in an accident and his insurance card was missing. Quite a hassle to print the Id Card, photograph it, load it into the computer and text it while the trooper was waiting.

I am an insurance agent and most often people communicate through text. Currently we can't send a quote via texting as the quote proposal is a PDF format. This makes it difficult to do business. I can't change file type as my customer management system that is linked with you guys only supports sending PDFs

I was told by my sales associate this was a current feature and I am upset to know now that it isnt.

The work around for this at the moment is compressing the PDF and then dropping that into the text message. It has worked for me in the interim.

This is essential to my company also as we deal with cruise passengers and may need to send confirmation documentation while they are at sea with limited connectivity. Being able to send documents as a PDF via text would be extremely beneficial.

Allow SMS to attach a PDF file

Our company have been using ring central for years, one of the best features was that I was able to send customers their invoices as a PDF in the text messaging. And now this option is gone and since most people do their communication on mobile devises of some sort, faxes are less and less in use. So not only that you removed the softphone option witch I loved, Now I cannot send a PDF file either. And it looks like not only PDF was disabled also Excel and anything that is not a jpg or mp3 seriously not cool. Very disappointing. please allow these option again

It would really help to be able attach Word and PDF files via text message. Most users' phones are now able to access their cloud repositories. More and more, we send and request documents to/from clients via text message.

When attempting to send a PDF document through a text message that service is not available. I would like to be able to do that.
