HUD status is not based on the Message side of the App
User status is based on the Messaging side of the App if that is enabled, and not the Telephony side. It is possible for some people not to have the Messaging features enabled.

Agree with this request as we have a large customer base that has a combination of users who have messaging turned off and users who have messaging turned on. When you have messaging turned on, you cannot see the status of users who have messaging turned on unless they have DND on or if they're on an active call. It shows them "offline" instead of "available" however users who have messaging turned off can see the correct status of other users who also have messaging turned off. This causes confusion for customers when they have users with messaging turned on but cannot see the correct status for those users who have messaging turned off.
