disable the SMS opt out box
when I go to compose a new text on the desktop app or on the mobile version- it automatically checks the box for "add an opt out message" we want it to be unchecked as the automatic setting or default
we don't send marketing or mass text messages so we don't want it to look like it's coming from a computer or like it was automated when it is not.

having the opt out feature selected by default its extremely disruptive to the sales process and sales team. The vast majority of the time leads that the sales team is reaching out to via SMS have already made an inquiry to be contacted so there is no need to have this selected by default. This default opt out SMS feature selected as it is will only drive business and accounts away from using ringcentral.

Agreed, there should be an option to disable this and make the default that the box is NOT checked.

This feature is horrible to auto be enabled. The manual error to disable this every single text is impossible. It just made a very important seem impersonal, invasive, and like it was AI generated in a mass spam which may result in getting blocked. This must be available to permanently disable on an account to avoid looking like a bot. If not I am 100% going to another service provider!

I have the exact same issue, but not for every phone number, just for some of them, which makes it even worse, because I don't always remember to un-check the box. How do we fix this?

We agree, this option should be made optional to include.

Would really like if the option wasn't prompted to auto select each time. Needing to remember to cut it off every time is very inconvenient and often times results in these messages getting sent without remembering to de-select the "add an opt out message". We are not a company selling or soliciting people for products, we use it to communicate with our drivers and customers. Please fix ASAP.

The opt-out message should be removed, as recipients may mistake these texts for spam when they see “Reply STOP to opt out.
