Display Full Date (MM/DD/YYYY) for Current-Year Text Messages on the Desktop App
Currently, the RC desktop app displays only the time for text messages received today (e.g., 6:32 AM) and only the month, day, and time for messages received earlier in the current year (e.g., 7/9 3:00 PM). The year is omitted from the timestamp.
The RC mobile app is working fine with the MM/DD/YY format. Please do this on the RC desktop app as well.
Requested Enhancement:
Add an option or update the default behavior so that text messages on the desktop app display the full date and time using the MM/DD/YYYY format (for example, 07/09/2026 3:00 PM), including for messages received within the current year.
Benefit:
Displaying the full date, including the year, provides greater clarity and consistency with the mobile app, making it easier for users to reference message timestamps, especially when reviewing message history or for documentation purposes.
