Implement Native Immutable Call Recording Storage & Hidden Deletion Restriction
For legal and compliance purposes, customers require the ability to prevent end-users from deleting call recordings. Current methods, such as custom roles, make the deletion restriction visible to users. RingCentral Archiver provides external storage but doesn't offer an immutable vault within the RingCentral platform itself, and has sync delays during which recordings could still be deleted.
We request a feature that provides:
Native Immutable Storage: A secure, unpurgeable storage location for call recordings within the RingCentral platform that users cannot access or modify.
Hidden Deletion Restriction: An administrative setting to restrict users from deleting call recordings without them being explicitly aware of the restriction (e.g., the delete option is simply absent or non-functional without a visible error).
This functionality is crucial for organizations needing to meet strict data retention and legal hold requirements, ensuring call recordings are preserved without user intervention or awareness of the restriction.
