Send Text to RingCentral Number through Email

Most carriers I have worked with have the ability to send text messages to a phone number by sending an email. According to RC support this feature is not currently available. Would be a nice addition, especially for developers.Examples:##########@messaging.sprintpcs.com##########@vtext.com##########@txt.att.net

    We have wanted this functionality for over 5 years, just waiting. With advancements in technology all around us, it is now critical. Please prioritize this.

    This has been a feature request more than 7 years now with no updates from Ringcentral it seems based on this forum link:

    I would much appreciate a response on this good or bad so we are all not wasting our time hoping for a feature request that will never come to fruition.

    Without this feature, we have to receive phone calls with verification codes.

    I would like to have a feature to send text email message to a ring central phone number through a gateware or a ring central smtp server. This would allow users to send email to the RingCentral email address to be received in the RC text feature.

    I have opened a support case regarding this new feature request. It needs to get done now. RingCentral seems to be slow to implement this important feature and it is URGENT.

    We VERY much need this capability for our MSP! We need to automate ticket notificaitons and every employee has their RC app on their cell phone to handle company communication with clients. I refuse to use an employee's home cell number for this purpose as it's the reason we got Ring Central!

    Please provide the ability to recive an SMS via text message sent FROM an emaill address. Thank you, VERY IMPORTANT FEATURE moving forward.

    Absolutely would support having this idea implemented. Our company uses an online application that can be configured to send email or text alerts based on activity within the application. Having the SMS email option is a constant question of our RingCentral users.

    This is an excellent idea and would benefit anyone who needs to notify users at their RingCentral numbers of things going on in other call queues.
