Text Messaging Reply Option
Many of today's popular messaging services like Skype and Teams allow you to "reply" to a text post which copies the original post text into your reply followed by a break of some sort (i.e. several dashes -----) so that when you reply to a question, the recipient of your reply knows to which post you are replying. It would be helpful if RingCentral SMS texting allowed the same functionality. Here is an example (though very simplistic as it is an example, real-world cases would be more complex).Original Sender message #1: Do you want to meet on Tuesday?Original Sender message #2: Is your car running at this point? These are sent by the sender as two SEPARATE text messages, one right after the other.Wanting to answer one of the questions quickly, I would like a feature that resembles what is already in Teams and Skype by which I could hit a Reply button or some similar thing which would then pre-fill my response with the original message leaving me to type below that text.Me: Hit "Reply" on the first message.RingCentral: Opens a new message, but rather than being blank, it pre-fills the message with...Do you want to meet on Tuesday?-------------Me: I then type my response into the message before sending it so that it looks like...Do you want to meet on Tuesday?-------------YesThis saves time and allows for quick responses because I only have to type "Yes" and not an entire sentence in my response to make it clear which of the two messages I am responding to. This is helpful when in meetings because it significantly reduces how much time I spend diverting my attention from the meeting itself. I assume that this is why Teams and Skype have already implemented such a feature. Thanks
