Add a radio button on app icon
Sometimes when I step away from my desk, I miss the tone notification that I received a new message. I won't know I missed it unless I open the app. How about a radio button on the icon on my dock to alert me. Like the red radio buttons on my text messages on my iphone.

We are migrating to the RC app (Glip) and have been accustomed to Google Hangouts where a direct or group message has a window popup to let you know that someone is messaging you and looking for a response. Many of our messages (direct and especially for teams) are often time sensitive/urgent, and the sound, quick flash, or icon labels are not sufficiently noticeable so it would be easy to miss that a message came in. Is there any way to have a banner that "sticks" until acknowledged or something that is more prominent that remains larger/visible until all messages are read/addressed? I am trying to encourage our team to "live" in the RC app, but the lack of a visible and persistent notification is a reason for people to go back to Hangouts for a more "in your face" reminder that a critical message awaits for you.

There is the notification on the app icon. It's simply a number of messages from all the parts of the app. Did you have something else in mind that might assist if alerting you that there were messages waiting?

To clarify: When messaging under "Direct Messages" between people in the office. When the app is open in the background/minimized there is no way to show that a message is waiting to be read.

Hey, Lauren! Can you be more specific about the type of message you're referring to?Text Message or Instant Message in Glip? Some clarity will help us to better inform the product team. Thanks!

When in the Ring Central desktop app, when recieving a message there should be a notification that "sticks" until cleared (as does on a phone). Currently the pop up notification disappears and there is no other indicator that a new message has arrived- causing some missed messages. To clarify: When messaging under "Direct Messages" between people in the office. When the app is open in the background/minimized there is no way to show that a message is waiting to be read.
