We would like to request a feature that allows users to temporarily pause or disable the voice calling capability on their RingCentral app or extension, while retaining the ability to send and receive messages (SMS or team messaging).
This feature would be helpful in scenarios where users need to focus on tasks that require minimal interruptions from calls but still need to stay responsive via messaging.

I need to be able to hand an iPad with the RC app installed, to a client for video meetings and I need to restrict/disable the ability for those clients to place a phone call entirely.

This should be a standard feature. There are many use cases where a business would want to only allow outbound dialing during a certain schedule or period of time, or disable outbound dialing altogether depending on the users role.

This seems like an obvious feature that should be enabled. Some businesses do not want employees to be able to make outbound calls, except 911 of course. Hopefully RC Dev team has something in the works for this, its been almost 2 years since this post.

we would like to restrict our employees' ability to make outgoing calls. Our goal is to allow them to receive calls and respond, but prevent them from dialing external numbers.

Option to toggle on the Admin Portal to restrict extension/s to make outbound calls for a scheduled time. Should still be able to receive incoming calls through the RC desktop/mobile app but would get an error when dialing out.
