We purposely don't include some users in the company directory, but certain users need to be able to see that information like HR
We have field associates that we want to hide their contact information from MOST associates so we don't include them in the company directory, but associates in our IT department, HR Department, and Executive level managers need to be able to use the directory to reach them and can't because you can't select whose has permissions to see them once they are included in the company directory. So, we don't get full use of RingCentral and have to give out user's cell phone numbers instead, not ideal.

Edit Share Contacts
Customer currently do not have a way to be able to edit shared external contacts.
Current method to edit via csv file and re-upload the template is such a hassle and inconvenient for user adding or editing shared external contacts,Customers would like to have a feature where
1.) Shared External Contacts can be edit using Ringcentral App or SW
2.) Upload Shared External contacts without using .csv File
3.If 2 is not possible at least add shared external contacts without downloading the whole data of the template.13 votes -
Ability to create groups that contain uploaded external shared contacts
Currently when uploading a list of external shared contacts they appear in All contacts and Company contacts. It would be much more useful if once uploaded these external shared contacts could be added to a new group for instance Vendor Contacts, Outside Sales Rep Cell Phones, etc... that could be shared with all phone system users.

Display Custom Customer Info on Yealink Phones
The customer would like to customize the caller ID display on Yealink desk phones for calls routed through a Call Queue. Specifically, when a customer dials the company hotline and the call is answered by a user in the queue, they want the phone display to show additional internal information associated with the customer’s extension or account.
Current Behavior:

Personal Contact - Download in Bulk
Each employee has a 'Personal Contact' list that the Super Admins want to download in bulk. The Personal Contact List is very important in contacting their Customers and VIP List.

Filter contacts when transferring calls to only users with the appropriate license to receive calls.
Users with a license that does not accept calls (ex Video Pro) show up in the company directory when transferring calls.
Attempting to transfer a call to these users will go directly to voicemail with no greeting or introduction. This is not ideal for users as it is unclear what is happening.

change email address on ringcentral university
Ability to change the Email address from the RingCentral University when it has a different email address. Customer was able to login using the email address associated on their user ext. but on the Profile, it has a different email.

Automatically sync Ringcentral app contact to any Deskphone
Contact should automatically sync from RingCentral app to any Deskphone that customer wish to. This will save time and effort on doing it manually especially for big companies.

Allow a "per line" option when adding details via the Contacts "notes" field
Our customer wants to be able to include via the "notes" field : the person's name , extension and email within their business contacts
When adding contacts via RC app , on the notes field of edit contact they want to be able to save the details like this example below:

External Shared Contacts Directory - Extension
For the External Shared Contacts Directory, to add a column for extension #, next to the company main number. This allows the Admin to share extension numbers .

Sync Mobile RC app and Desktop app personal contacts
I can get my apple iphone contacts on mobile app but they won't appear in the desktop app. why the two app versions can't sync contact lists seems unreal. please get it to where personal contacts from apple can be in the desktop app. went through support and they said that option doesn't exist. Thank you!

Disable the display of External Shared Contacts directory contacts to a group of users.
Is there any way to disable the display of External Shared Contacts directory contacts to a group of users ?
I currently use the external shared contacts of Google (it a check box to enble) but the sync has troubles (+20k contacts). I would like to use the External Shared Contacts directory from ringCentral Directory integration but not all of our users need it.6 votes -
