  1. As a company we rely on our Microsoft Teams status (NOT RC) to let our team know we are:away from our desk on lunch or breaksin a meetingon a phone callWe use RC for all calls with our customers and when a team member wants to transfer a call, it is not practical for them to check their Teams status first every time before transferring the RC call. It is also an ongoing issue of receiving RC calls while on internal Teams calls. We want our RC users to look at the RC HUD and choose who is available. To go…

  2. conditions: having teams calls + RC EA in teams active and logged in.

as in RC app, having the ability to manage multiple incoming calls (hold lines automatically)

    example 1:
when on an active call on teams, a user receives another RC call and answers it, the EA should be able to hold the MS teams call and keep only the RC call active.

    example 2:
Also , in the other way round, when initially having an active RC call, and receives a MS Teams call, when answering the MS teams call, it should be able to hold the Call.

  3. The EA is a telephony-focused app that uses our platform presence status. However, the RingCentral App has another messaging focused status that is also being used. This extra status used in RingCentral app causes the 2 HUD displays to show different results.

    Presence statuses in RC: https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Presence/readUserPresenceStatus

The usage of this presence status in different apps may vary.

It would be great if the status in RingCentral and MS Teams Embedded App is synced or unified which is the main purpose of the Presence sync feature.

  4. As a company we rely on our Microsoft Teams status (NOT RC) to let staff know our availability and more importantly to route external calls to relevant call queues\voicemails, etc. when unavailable or on a call. We use RC Teams embedded dialer app to make\receive external calls. DND is the only Teams status that sync's across to RC and drops that status into DND which will achieve the desired result of forwarding calls on for answer via call queues etc. I would like to see the following Teams statuses achieve the same thing. Specifically Appear offline, In a meeting, On…

  5. With the passing of Ray Baum's Act (effective 1/6/2022), our current or prospective Direct Routing customers for Microsoft Teams will begin to examine whether RingCentral MVP can "process" PIDF-LO information originating from the MS Teams environment. Currently we do not. Customer preference will be to maintain emergency address/location information from within their MS Teams Admin Center environment, as opposed to being forced to manually change/update address/location information within ServiceWeb. Users in this type of environment will simply refuse to do the manual updating within ServiceWeb. I personally am already hearing of customers where this will become an issue and may…

  8. Guest accounts (B2B Collabaration Users) in Microsoft Entra ID (previously Azure AD) should not sync along with regular contacts (Members) when using the MS Teams embedded dialer app. At a minimum, there should be an option to include or exclude Members/Guests when syncing Contacts. Many organizations use B2B Collaboration to provide single sign-on to their customers which causes large numbers of user records and it is not normal behavior for apps to sync these records by default when syncing contact records. These record types are not part of the Global Address List.https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/external-id/user-properties

  9. The MS Teams Embedded App and its associated "Ghost App" are very useful. However, enhancing it even further by extending the new "Deskphone Pairing" feature into the Ghost App can extend the usefulness even further when it comes to MS Teams integrations.

  10. In the RingCentral desktop, we have the option to share voicemails which apparently is non-feature while using the Teams app. The only option we have is to "Download" but I feel that the extra steps to export and import a file as opposed to sharing the voicemail to someone within the company can be felt on our productivity.

  13. The request is for an app that can be deployed via the Microsoft Teams app gallery to add RingCentral controls to the side of the Teams client.
This app should do the following:
    - Allow for SSO-Stay logged in-Give controls such as: Accept all calls -
Deny all calls - Do not accept queue calls
    - Remote member management features like logging out of specific queues (this is available in native teams call routing functionality)
    - Be available on mobile
These functions are not available in the Service Web page for an end user and popping out to the mobile…

  14. In the Cloud PBX for Teams portal, the new Sync Module only works for a single PBX customer meaning that a customer that has offices internationally cannot use it. This could prove to be an issue for Enterprise customers, who may feel that the current integration causes too much manual work.

  15. Use case: The customer is widely using MS Teams as their core collaboration solution. They would like to keep all communication within the Teams app to reduce complexity. Challenges: The customers would like to leverage RingCentral's & Textel SMS solutions for team tackling of SMS, which leverage RingCentral's Teams in Messaging. To use this, they must also use the RingCentral Desktop App. This creates a challenging solution strategy as some users have the Embedded Dialer and others are using the RingCentral App. Things do not work well when both the Embedded Dialer and the RC App are deployed on the…

  16. RingCentral voicemail used to work the Microsoft Teams direct routing. It recently stopped to do so with no warning. This has strained the ease of using RingCentral calling queues with Microsoft Teams. Please bring back the ability to pick and choose between RingCentral voicemail and Teams voicemail.

  17. As of 6/14/22, my entire company has abandoned the MS Teams and RingCentral integration for the Ring Central Desktop App because (1) we cannot search for keywords in SMS messages in the integration and (2) the phone directory only displays active RC members and excludes personal contact phone numbers or any contacts other than Ring Central members. Its frustrating for my users to have to go back and forth between the RC Desktop App and the MS Teams integration to do searches, when the point of an integration is to have everything centralized in one place. I called support and…

  19. The end-user doesn't have problems with both the Ring app AND the Teams plugin. The problem isn't installing the app, but specifically after the app is deployed it asks the user to Allow changes to the firewall.

Do we have any Documentation that shows how to Deploy the Apps without asking the user to Allow changes to the Firewall? The users are prohibited from making changes to the Firewall. Microsoft Defender is blocking the full Deployment, and the Staff do not have admin rights in their Microsoft accounts, so IT has to do an MSI Push.

    It was recommended to…
