  1. Many users complain there is not a button on the main interface of the Polycom Edge220 to access voice mail. I would like VM added to the feature selection when customizing Line or soft keys.

  3. Currently, the “block number” option on the service web portal requires manual input of area codes, which becomes very tedious when trying to block hundreds of area codes. It would be highly beneficial if the block feature included a checkbox list for all 50 states, allowing users to easily enable or disable calls from entire states with a single click.

Additionally, it would be helpful to have an expandable option for each state that displays checkboxes for individual counties within that state. This would allow more granular control to allow or block inbound calls at the county level. Such enhancements…

  6. Under the Caller ID restrictions, the "Allow direct numbers as Caller ID" option currently enables end users to call out using both IVR numbers and queue numbers they are members of. However, callers should only have the option to use the queue number as their outbound Caller ID (OBCID) without access to all of the site's IVR numbers.

  7. Automatically block IP Addresses when not in the following IP ranges:

    80.81.128.0/20
    103.44.68.0/22
    104.245.56.0/21
    185.23.248.0/22
    192.209.24.0/21
    199.68.212.0/22

This is to avoid Phantom calls or SIP attacks.

  8. We request the implementation of a new setting, likely within the Admin Portal, that allows an organization to disable the automatic display of a caller's name when the call originates from another RingCentral tenant.

This feature should be configurable on a granular level, such as:
Account-wide: A global setting for the entire RingCentral account.
User-specific: An option to disable the feature for individual users or user groups.
By Role: A setting that can be applied to specific user roles (e.g., agents, managers, etc.).

When this setting is enabled, calls from external RingCentral users would only display the phone number, along…

  10. Request to support deaf users who cannot hear and cannot speak during live RingCentral voice calls. The customer wants the ability to type responses during the call, and for the system to read the text aloud to the hearing person on the other end of the line.

    This feature would allow:

    • Real-time Text-to-Speech conversion of typed messages by the deaf user.
    • Seamless integration with existing captioning/transcription features.
    • The hearing participant to hear the typed messages spoken naturally. Optional voice customization (male/female tone, speed).

    Why This Is Needed:
    - Improves accessibility for deaf and non-speaking users who still need to communicate…

  15. We need to be able to see the incoming calls while we are on the phone. We also need to be able to see any calls we missed while on the phone, and who answered the call (if anyone answered), or if the entire team missed, so that we know who has been serviced and who needs to be called back.

  16. Description of the Idea:
When managing multiple simultaneous calls, users currently face difficulties identifying calls after switching if the contact is not listed in the company directory. The call order changes unexpectedly when calls are placed on hold or resumed, causing confusion and inefficient call handling.

    Problem Statement:

    • The call placed on hold takes the position of the resumed call, disrupting the original order of calls by arrival time.
    • This leads to loss of the initial call sequence, making it harder for users to quickly identify and prioritize calls.
    • Users have to spend extra time figuring out which call corresponds…

  17. Description of the Idea:
Managing multiple incoming calls currently presents challenges for users, especially when already engaged on a call. The application automatically brings a new incoming call to the foreground and plays continuous audio notifications, which can be intrusive and disruptive.

    Problem Statement:

    • Users have a limited time window to handle the incoming call before the UI forcibly shifts focus.
    • Ongoing call-related actions or tasks may be lost or interrupted due to forced UI changes.
    • Continuous audio notifications during an active call can be overly intrusive, affecting call quality and user focus.

    Suggested Improvements:

    • When a user switches back…

  18. Description of the Idea:
During Hold/Unhold transitions, RingCentral internally switches the RTP source without SIP renegotiation and while keeping the same SSRC. Although the stream appears continuous (same SSRC, coherent sequence numbers), this design leads to misinterpretation by VoIP monitoring tools such as OCOM or SIP Capture HOMER, which are widely used in enterprise environments.

    Suggested Improvement:
Introduce a mechanism to explicitly signal the change of RTP source, such as:

    • Changing the SSRC, as recommended in [RFC 3550 §8.1],
    • Resetting RTP timestamps or sequence numbers,
    • Using the RTP marker bit to indicate a discontinuity.

This would help monitoring systems correctly…

  19. Ring Central should have solutions available for when RC customer numbers are being spoofed and used to harass and scam individuals. These victims will blame RC customers for their predicament, possibly going on social media and unfairly damage the RC customer reputation. Ring Central should also beef up the security of these numbers to reduce the likelihood of them being spoofed int he first place.

  20. Most members are currently accessing the call queue voicemail on a desk phone. Most of the call queue members are generic phones, not assigned to a specific user but rather to a location that is used by multiple people. So, typically, the user will check the voicemail on the physical phone. They would dial the call queue extension and enter the PIN so they could check the voicemail. The customer would like to restrict other users from accessing the voicemail. Updating the PIN is not possible, as there are many people checking the voicemail, and it changes.
