  2. Our company have several numbers with Mobile licenses that appear in RingCentral Portal account but are not accessible as an option to be selected as a "Fax" number for individual user accounts. It would be great to be able to select any number that appears in our RingCentral Portal account to be a fax number.

  3. 📌 Feature Request: Ability to Send Fax Using Extension Number Instead of Full Phone Number

    Summary:
    Request to enhance faxing functionality in RingCentral to allow users to send faxes by entering an extension number instead of the full 10-digit direct number.

    Details / Business Need:

    Currently, users must enter the full direct phone number assigned to an extension to send a fax.

    Users want the ability to enter only the extension number, similar to how internal voice calls work.

    This enhancement would simplify the process for internal fax communication within the organization.

  4. Currently, the date/time stamp on a fax is from when it is sent. We need the date/time stamp to reflect when the fax was received by the recipient.
    This is required for compliance within our organization.

  12. In RC app (Jupiter)

    Sent Fax on multiple contact with the same number will always show the first contact saved on the sent list

    In Fax cover page of the actual fax, it will prioritize by order alphabetical & number

    so if you have 3 contact with the same number like eg, Test 1 test 2 Test 3
    in Fax cover page it will be always Test 1 that will show.

  13. I have an idea to be able to view each page as it comes in, instead of waiting for the entire fax to be received. This helps for our case in particular with needing the first 2 pages for referrals and we would be able to call on them quicker rather than waiting for 80 pages to come in.

Wanting to correct internal fax to email notifications to mirror same patterns of actually displaying/sending the attachments and cover letters of a fax the same as the external traffic displays and receives the data. Currently internal communication only notifies staff to check portal for the fax data over sending the data directly via an outlook email.

  18. Currently, when both sender and recipient use toll-free numbers, faxes are routed through a generic path since toll-free numbers lack fixed geographic endpoints. This routing is less reliable and often results in failures. We request an improvement in how TFN to TFN fax traffic is handled, with more robust routing, better support for explicitly setting the “sent from” toll-free fax number, and clearer error feedback when failures occur.

    While the majority of inbound faxes are successfully received via T.38, isolated instances occur where certain senders transmit faxes using non-T.38 formats (typically voice/G.711). In these cases:

    The system does not identify the call as a fax, treating it as a voice call.

    The fax fails to be processed, and no fallback handling is in place.

    The burden of resolution falls entirely on the sender, who may not have technical control over their fax equipment or carrier routing.
