Bulk User Upload will encounter problems when certain requirements are not completed.Bulk Upload User prerequisites: • Emergency Registered Location (ERL) E911 address • Make use of the unassigned extension first • Always get the fresh Bulk User Upload template from the web portal to prevent instances of a corrupted template Perfect world these prereqs would be the error message, saying these things need to be done first, as this would provide the customer information they need at the time they need it.

  3. I am continually frustrated dealing with your support site. Your service can make or break your customer relationship and impact customer retention. There are many improvements needed to the support site and case handling. Here are my suggestions for improvement: Keep cases visible on support portal when escalated. Some cases disappear from the list in My Case Portal when escalated. Do not allow support representatives, including tier 2 and above, to change the Case Subject and/or Description on cases.   4. Is there anyway we can add a feature in a video meeting, on desktop, and minimize the video so it "sticks" so I can multitask?
    In the old version you would click the minimize button on a mac and the video would "stick" as a small screen and then you could multitask.

  6. The side panel covers the main chat area unless the app window is set very wide. For me, the app has to take up over half of my working screen before it allows both the side panel and main panel to be fully viewable. This problem did not occur for the first 2 years or so that I used RC; it just began on 2/22/22. Prior to that date, the window allowed both panels to be fully visible, regardless of app window width.

Customer wants an option where they can hear the caller's name and phone number during the voicemail announcement if the caller did not provide it on the actual voicemail message The customer doesn't want to use call logs, email notification, or applications to view the callers' number or name.Also wants a feature that if they receive a voicemail and they want to forward it to another user, they want an option to record their own message advising the recipient that they are forwarding the voicemail

Currently when users login to any RingCentral app (desktop, mobile, web) they are prompted for their email address or phone number first which triggers the manual password signin process only and to sign in with Single Sign-on (SSO) users have to click the "Single Sign-on" button first before they enter their email address and continue to be redirected to the company SSO provider.   9. I enjoy using the Ring Cental texting option on my phone/desktop during work hours but I do not want to receive text messages after work hours. I would like to have a setting that would allow me to only receive text messages during a particular time (IE: 9AM - 5PM similar to the phone setting). If I am unable to do this, I will have to stop using the app for this purpose.

  10. Zoom added their Universal Binary which supports their M1 chips without going through their Rosetta 2 emulation. I believe this would help RingCentral as I occasionally experience application freezes on the M1 when trying to enable my camera / audio too quickly after loading into a meeting or trying to share my screen. I believe natively supporting the M1 would resolve those issues.

  12. We communicate with our customers almost exclusively via text, including mms. We believe it's important to text with our customers from the area code they are familiar with. For instance, if our customer is in Miami, we want to be able to text them from our 305 number. This is currently not possible for some reason. The functionality exists in other platforms like grasshopper for instance. Please make this happen. It will allow us to do significantly more business. Thank you.

Right now, there is functionality to disable link previews on a per user basis via the RC mobile app. This is helpful with a very small and tech savvy user base, but with a larger organisation this is not practical. This suggestion is to allow this default link preview behavior to be turned off on an organisation/tenancy wide basis.
