    Avaya Cloud Office user here:

This issue has come up again for us. We often need conference calls (i.e. voice only... no video), and there are some problems currently with the personal conference number that every user has:

    1) It's really hard for a user to get to their information. It's 5 clicks (one of which opens the Web browser) to see my Conference Number, Host Code, and Participant Code, and the options at each click are not obvious or easy to find. It seems pretty clear that this feature/capability is an afterthought. Please know that lots of people still need and want to use this feature.

    2) The Participant Code is always the same for an end user's personal conference number. This is a problem. For example, if a user has two calls scheduled closely together, a caller from one call could connect a little early or a little late and unknowingly join the other call. There is no way for the end user to reset their code, either... a super admin has to do it.

My suggestion is to make this feature more usable. I think that it should be blended with the "VIDEO" menu option... and there should be some way to specify an "Audio only" meeting. I think the menu choice should be changed from "VIDEO" to "MEET" or "MEETING" or something like that.

Starting an audio-only meeting should provide participants a call-in number and the appropriate codes needed to join the audio-only meeting. It should be schedule-able just the current video meetings are. It should not require the ACO app... it should be reachable by anyone with a telephone.

Scheduled conference calls are still a thing! Please give us a good way to do that. My end users are frustrated.

We do lots of meetings that don't involve video (cameras). I think "Meetings" or "Meet" would be a much more appropriate section name than "Video". See the attached image for a mockup and comparison.

You can do this from the ACO web app's dialpad.

However, when I am on a call with my J139 desk phone I have to do an old-school "*9" in order to start (and stop) the recording. I want to be able to give my end users (I'm the admin) the ability to press a soft key/line key to start and stop the recording. There's no reason we all should have to remember that "*9" means start/stop recording.

We have a single "main" telephone number. It isn't really intended for text messaging. All our outbound telephone calls show this main number as the caller ID. That means this number appears in the call history when one of our employees calls someone's mobile phone. Those people may then associate our main telephone number with that particular employee, and will sometimes send a text message, thinking it's going directly to that person. I am our administrator, and currently all text messages that are sent to our main telephone number arrive in my list of text messages. I'd like to have the ability to "transfer" a message from my list of messages to someone else's (if I can determine who the person is actually trying to reach). It would also be nice to separate these messages from the ones that are really mine.

Updated 9/8/23: This has been moved to Q1 2024Hi everyone, this is planned as a two parter: coming in December 2022, users will be able to select which number their outbound texts are sent through in settings. Coming later in 2023, users will be able to select their outbound number in the separate messaging window (not just in settings). This only addresses outbound caller ID. If you would like to see a more shared inbox group texting option, please vote for these ideas: Add a text message queue similar to the call queueTexts should go to multiple users

It's disappointing that this has been pushed out for "future consideration." The ability to have a company-wide cover page should be a basic feature of any network fax system. The app should not have been designed without this feature in the first place, and it should be added as soon as possible.

There should absolutely be a feature for adding a company-wide fax cover page. Looks like it can be done in the older Cloud Phone app, but that is apparently on a per-user basis and also cannot be used in the Ring Central app (or in our case the Avaya Cloud Office app). This is standard functionality in corporate fax systems. I'm shocked it's not already present. Please provide this functionality.
