Allow all extensions to send SMS from main Company extension
We are applying for TCR SMS for our company. I was just told that ONLY 1 extension can send out SMS from the main company number. This is not very useful since we need multiple users to be able to send out SMS from the main company number!

Like, this seems so basic that I didn't even ask about it before signing up.

This is a critical function for our company and we have already had to bring on another texting provider to make sure that our customers get our messages properly. If Ring Central can’t get this fixed, we may be leaving for another phone line as well.

We all share one number and our clients all have that number. We need to be able to receive the messges from it. Everyone from different shifts needs to be able to see what happened prior to their shift. we dont want the client having 9 different numbers.
Will this be possible soon??

this is hugely important to someone who uses 1 phone number as a "customer service call center" phone for all customer service agents, and to use 1 main phone number to send/receive both phone calls and SMS/MMS
That way, outbound calls and SMS/MMS all show the 1 phone number, no matter which CS agent is calling out

My office has one main phone number that is published online and our customers recognize on social media. RC doesnt allow more than one user to use the main phone line for SMS which I think is ridiculous! To have multiple users text and each message is from a different phone number generated by RC doesnt make too much sense for a business especially when they have already ported a phone number in for calls. This prevents us from using SMS with RC when it should be a given. RC please fix this as I am sure you would have more business in use of of the SMS.

VERY IMPORTANT! Also, when we change the user assigned as the Operator, it breaks text threads, and the users are not able to see previous texts from whenever they were not assigned as Operator, which is very inconvenient.

In my office, we have one main phone number that is published and patients recognize. However, through Ring Central, each team member has a different (private) number. We are used to having everyone receive and being able to send text messages from the main office number. It would become very confusing for patients to receive text messages from several different numbers (the individual lines) rather than the main number that they recognize. However, it appears at this time, only one extension can receive and send text messages using the main phone number. I would like for my entire staff to have this capability. (This is what we are used to with our previous SMS provider).

This is vital for our company. I don't want to leave RC but the boss says we might have to if we can't all text.
